The ALS Association is thrilled to continue an awesome partnership geared at helping people living with ALS in the greater Des Moines area. We are once again partnering with Wells Fargo and The Principal Financial Group to host the Second Annual Spring Cleaning Day! The purpose of this event is to honor May as ALS Awareness Month and provide people living with ALS in the Des Moines area assistance with housework and yard-work associated with Spring Cleaning. Below are the details of this event:

• Dates - Tuesday, May 13 and Wednesday, May 14
• Times: Volunteers will work in 2 shifts:
• Shift 1 - 9:00am - 12:00pm
• Shift 2 - 1:00pm - 4:00pm
• Volunteers from Wells Fargo and Principal Financial Group will work in teams of 2-4 and will perform activities* such as:
• Yard Work
• House Cleaning
• Window Cleaning
• Gutter Cleaning

We are hopeful that we can provide volunteer service to everyone who requests it. However, our ability to complete requests will be dependent on the number of available volunteers, so requests and time/shift preference will be granted on a first come, first serve basis.  If we are unable to fulfill all the requests, we will create a waiting list in the event other parties come forward looking for a way to help!

*Please note that Principal and Wells Fargo will supply the volunteers only. We ask that all parties receiving this service provide their own supplies. Example – for yard work, please provide the rakes, lawn bags, etc.
