Hello everyone! My name is Cassidy, and I am so thrilled you are joining us for the Walk to Defeat ALS! Please don't hesistate to contact me if you have ANY questions!
For the safety of our ALS community during the global COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to Walk As One this year in place of in-person activities. We urge you to join us in fundraising to support the programs and services we provide for Iowans living with ALS, research and advocacy. Click here to view our Walking As One Guide!

Walk Your Way with us on October 2nd... down your street, in your neighborhood park, inyour living room as you zoom with family and friends … anywhere you want! Engage your family, friends, and neighbors. Take a walk or ride around your neighborhood, spread the word about ALS, host a post-walk gathering, take lots of photos and make new memories. Just be sure to observe social distancing measures and be safe!

We've Gone Mobile!
Your fundraising has gone mobile thanks to the Walk to Defeat ALS mobile & tablet app. Now you can fundraise on the go by sending emails, monitoring your fundraising progress and updating your page.
T-Shirts
Participants who raise $90 will receive a Walk to Defeat ALS T-Shirt. This benefit is awarded to individuals, not teams or donors, so make sure the donations to your personal fundraising record add up! Shirts will be mailed to the Team Captain's home after Walk Day to distribute to team members who earned a shirt.
In addition to working toward one for yourself, spread the word to encourage your friends, family, and coworkers to earn their very own shirt.

Walk Yard Sign
Our new custom Walk Yard Signs are now available for $30 and will be shipped to your home! This price includes shipping. Email cassidy@alsaiowa.org to order a sign, including the information below.

Signs can be paid for by making a self-donation on your Walk page.
Walk Box
Teams that raise $5,000+ by September 17th will receive a Walk Box mailed to your home; Des Moines area boxes will be hand delivered. Boxes include: sidewalk chalk, balloons, Unlock ALS materials, ALS koozies and more for your Walk Day activity.
